A Little About
Myself.
Story of my life
Lazarus Simbahon-Miura thats my name, i was born with it and till this day i live with it until the day i die, But with my name was does it mean? Lazarus, many of you heard it from a chirstian belief and many peoplen know the story about Lazarus, how jesus rose him from the dead but why? Why did he rise Lazarus from the dead? Well, Based on the story he rose him because Lazarus deserved to be happy and loved on this earth and he shouldnt have been treated the way he should have, The reason i chose Malama honua was because in this world of cruel and hate we need more people to love and appreciate each other.
I live in the moku of waianae, Hawaii. People on this island may seem us as wrong doing and bad because of all the sterotypes that happens in waianae but the best part about waianae is that we are a community and we stand as a community, we love and support each other through everything we do as kanaka and as wahine. Waianae has one of the worst past in hawaii history but if you look past it, you see the many aloha we have down on this side, and how much we respect one another and how much we love each other as a community. The winds and rains of waianae is Kaiaulu is the wind and there in no rains in waianae
What i want to get out of this program in malama honua is to make everyone love each other more because people have so much hate nowadays it makes it hard to see what our future holds. In order for us to have a sustainable future we must have aloha and hoʻihi to get there because without those traits in our hawaii then hawaii isnt hawaii no more and we cannot let the haole take over this island of aloha and hoʻihi.
Aloha ʻaina, to care and to love the land. This sentance brings me joy because in life we should love and appreciate everything we have expecially the land we live on because in a blink of an eye everything could be taken from us easily and we need to care for our land more often.
In conclusion i hope malama honua will help me sustain a safe and loving future for our kanaka of the generation because we need love and hoʻihi in this life because with out it we are not hawaii.
