The Water Cycle |
Def:
the cycle of processes by which water circulates between the earth's oceans, atmosphere, and land, involving precipitation as rain and snow, drainage in streams and rivers, and return to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration. Why is it important? Its important because this shows where our water is coming from and the source it has taken upon us in our everyday lives. We tend to drink water but have no idea where it comes from. We took a trip to the waiheʻe water tunnel and it showed us how the water worked in hawaii and how we have water underground as well. |
Waiheʻe Water Fall/Tunnel
Pictures of the learning trip. |
Our recent learning trip was at the Waiheʻe water fall and water tunnel. The experiences I have experienced was great, the water tunnel was an amazing adventure due to the amount I have learned. WE learned that the gauge must be at a certain pressure to enter the tunnel erase if it wasn't adequate the you could be trapped in there, or how we learned about a metal pipe that tells us if the water is success or not, WE also learned that they produce over 4 billion gallons of water every day.

This is the pressure Gauge that shows us if the tunnel is stable and Able to enter. If the vile is above 150 then we can enter, When we entered the Alakaʻi told us that there will be a marking on the wall every 50ft. We had traveled 1500ft into the tunnel and we had come to showers of water and had seen water that has not been touched by man.
Here is the Metal pipe to show us that if the water is successful or not. As you can see the metal is cut in the middle, The middle shows us that is what the board of water supply goal to reach everyday, if the water is going over the pipe then they are exactly meeting the goals that they want, If it doesn't then they have to go in the water tunnel and figure out whats going on in the tunnels. The water tunnel has 2 inches of water every were you step because of the water being produced down there.
